🎬 LEAD 3D CHARACTER ANIMATOR: Film Project 🌟 3D Animation

We are currently hiring. At ABLE & BAKER, we are seeking a dedicated Lead 3D Character Animator to oversee the animation process for our upcoming 3D feature film.

In this role, you will be responsible for reviewing and approving shots, guiding a team of 10 to 15 animators, and collaborating with Rigging, Layout, and CFX departments to optimize workflow. Your leadership will include mentoring new talent, leading dailies, and refining character acting and body mechanics to ensure high-quality artistic output while adhering to project schedules.

The ideal candidate will have:
– More than five years of experience on CG feature films or high-end series, with at least two years in a team leadership position.
– Strong understanding of animation principles, acting theory, and biomechanics.
– Advanced proficiency in Maya, along with experience using Shotgun, rigs, and camera staging.
– Excellent ability to provide clear and actionable feedback. Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Spanish is a plus.

Work arrangement options include:
– On-site or hybrid work at our studio in Gran Canaria, which is preferred.
– Possible remote work from other Canary Islands locations.
